The Normandy landing beaches of world war two and more …

Don’t miss St.Mère Eglise with its solder hanging from the church roof, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, St. Vaast la Hougue and Barfleur with its ports, the Val de Saire and “Parc Naturel des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin”.

The beautiful town of Bayeux with its tapestry from the 11th century, “the first comic strip in history” is 45 minutes, Caen and St. Lô are 1 hour and the Mont Saint Michel is 1 hour and half away and is not to be missed.

The Hague with Jean-François Millet’s native house in Gréville Hague, can be visited and combined with a beautiful walk on the ”prochemins des douanier” (Customs? paths) near Goury and Auderville or the discovery of the magnificent botanical gardens of Vauville.

And for those seeking a complete change of scenery: Barneville Carteret and it’s port is 30 minutes, from which you can take the boat to Jersey, Guernsey and Serq.

Just watch the video underneath called “La Manche en Normadie” prepared by Manche Tourisme. It gives you an idea on how beautiful our region is. But, in reality it is more beautiful, so don’t miss a chance to come and see us…!
